Racist iCarly parody

On Saturday June 16th, 2012, YouTube celebrity Shane Dawson made and posted a video which is a parody of the Nickelodeon show "iCarly", and when Shane played Miranda Cosgrove's character Carly, he played her as like she was an Asian. Which is totally racist because Miranda Cosgrove isn't really Asian, she just has Asian-looking eyes. I'm surprised that the video didn't get deleted and Shane didn't get into legal trouble for racism. Of course, throughout the years, Shane did get away with portraying African-American celebrities such as Randy Jackson, Corbin Bleu, Sarah Barrable-Tishauer, Will Smith, Nicki Minaj, and Wendy Williams by wearing blackface. He also portrayed a kung fu master in a "Kill Bill" spoof from a video of his called "HARRY POTTER DELETED SCENE!?" Shane says he isn't a racist, but after seeing his "iCarly" spoof, people may believe otherwise.

Facebook pictures for Ian Hecox

Last month, I made some drawings to send to Ian Hecox from Smosh on his Facebook account. But apparently I couldn't send them to his original account because the little keyword box that says "What's on your mind?" wasn't there. So I couldn't send the pictures to him. So, I decided to send them to his other Facebook account only to find out days later that Ian Hecox's "other Facebook account" was probably somebody else's, like a fan of Smosh. But I still sent my drawings to that account anyway. Just so you know, these drawings are of the round foods that I mentioned in my "Smosh Food Battle" blog. A blueberry bagel, an Oreo cookie, and a Reese's peanut butter cup. And they all hold up signs with a picture of a pink-frosted sprinkled doughnut with a "no" symbol on it, and the round foods all say "Down with the pink-frosted sprinkled doughnut!" Well, only the blueberry bagel says that, the Oreo cookie and the Reese's peanut butter cup say the exact same thing and then tell whoever's seeing the drawing to vote for the round food for Food Battle 2012. But unfortunately, nobody on Facebook agrees with my drawings. So, I hope that anybody who agrees that Ian Hecox from Smosh should use a different round food for Food Battle 2012. The pictures that I meant to send to Ian Hecox's Facebook page are in the other Ian Hecox Facebook page (It's the one with the profile pic of Ian Hecox from the Smosh video "Super Powers!".), then go to "Photos" and that's where you'll find them. And if you agree with my pictures, type in your vote as a comment on either this blog, or my "My Blogger Page!" video, or even the pictures on the second Ian Hecox Facebook page.

Sparky and Oreo

I have these 2 cats named Sparky and Oreo. (Just so you know, they're not my 2 ONLY cats, I do have other cats.) Sparky and Oreo look kind of alike, they're both black and white, and they both have black spots on their chins. But they're both different sizes. Sparky is a lot bigger than Oreo. And just so you know, even though Oreo looks like a kitten, she's really an adult cat. I guess you could say she's a dwarf cat. She does have other problems besides her size, she doesn't meow except if the other cats are playing around with her, she really yowls rather than meow. And she doesn't use the litter box, she goes either on the bathroom floor, or the bathtub, or under my grandma's bed. But we still love her anyway. Even Sparky has a flaw of her own. She has a curly tail. It's like a monkey's tail. I guess either she was born like that, or her tail got that way from a past injury. So, anyway, do you agree that Sparky and Oreo almost look alike? You be the judge.

Sunny Ray the robot

At the 2011 Deschutes county fair, when my uncle and I were just leaving, we met this solar-powered robot called Sunny Ray. Sunny Ray was like a regular human being, she responded to people. The robot even asked me my name, but I think said it wrong. Instead of pronouncing it Ian [ee-yin], I think I pronounced it "een". Or maybe I did say my name right, but she didn't hear me correctly due to the crowd of people.

Sunny Ray even let me take her picture. (Not counting the one I took without her knowing.) She even posed for it. She told me that it was her best pose. Of course, since Sunny Ray is a robot, I don't know for sure if Sunny Ray is a boy robot or a girl robot.

My 21st Birthday!

On Saturday, August 20th, 2011, it was my 21st birthday. I didn't have a party or anything, or got any presents. Of course, I didn't know what I wanted anyway. But my grandma bought me this yummy birthday cake. It was chocolate with lemon filling and white frosting. It even had "Happy 21st, Ian" written on it in red icing, and pink and white roses drawn on it in frosting. So, when I was ready to light the candles, make a wish, and blow them out, my grandmother bought candles for the cake, all right, but she bought the wrong kind. Instead of a 2 candle and a 1 candle, she just got regular birthday candles, and she suggested I put 21 candles on the cake.

But by the time I got all 21 candles onto the cake and got them lit, those little candles were burning fast! It was like my cake was on fire! Good thing I blew all those candles out before that actually happened. In fact, before anything caught on fire. So, I guess my grandma and I learned the hard way that 21 little birthday candles are just way to much. Plus, it can be a real fire hazard. (Nothing caught on fire, by the way.)

Smosh Food Battle

On October 4, 2006, YouTube sensations Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla (also known as Smosh) started a yearly video series called "Food Battle". Where every year, Ian and Anthony battle by using their favorite foods for other things besides eating. In every "Food Battle" video, Anthony always uses a different food. Like a taquito, a celery stick, a churro, a burrito, a red hot chili pepper, and a rainbow lollipop. While Ian uses the same food every year. A pink frosted sprinkled doughnut. Can you believe that? Ian's food of choice is always a pink frosted sprinkled doughnut! Why couldn't he be just like Anthony and do a different food every year? Why couldn't he use another round food, like a blueberry bagel, or an Oreo cookie, or even a Reese's peanut butter cup? If he keeps using a pink frosted sprinkled doughnut, then the viewers are going to find the "Food Battle" videos boring. So, let's take a vote. Who agrees that Ian Hecox should make a change in his food of choice for future "Food Battle" videos and which round food should he use next?

A blueberry bagel,
an Oreo cookie,
or a Reese's peanut butter cup?

Leave your vote in the comment box of this blog or my "My Blogger Page!" video.

Summer Vacation 2007

Every year in June, my grandparents and I go to this motel in Lincoln City, Oregon called D Sands Motel. It's basically this 3-floor motel that has cable, a video rental place, and even a beach. It also has a pool, but I never checked it out. Our motel room is always on the third floor. Sometimes, I would go out on the balcony and feed stale bread to the seagulls. We usually stayed in Lincoln City for 3 days. Also, on the very last day of our trip to Lincoln City, we always go to another town in the coastal part of Oregon called Depo Bay. It's this small town where there's a bunch of restaurants, gift shops, a sweet shop, a coffee place, a book store, a museum, and even a bridge under the road. But back in 2007 was the very last time we vacationed in Lincoln City because my grandpa is usually the one who drives us to Lincoln City, and back in 2008, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor that left him paralyzed and unable to drive. He went to the hospital for brain tumor surgery, but unfortunately, the doctors couldn't get rid of the brain tumor completely, so in July of 2008, he became extremely ill and died. So nowadays, I spend my summer vacation at home.

Here are some pictures I took while in Lincoln City.

Motel pics:

Fountain: This is a fountain that's in the parking lot of the motel.

Lighthouse: This is a small lighthouse which is also in the parking lot. Notice the waterfall next to it.

Lighthouse mural: This is a mural of a lighthouse painted on the side of the building. It has real windows, and a real blinking light.

Beach pics:

Beach: This is just a picture of the beach and a bunch of people.

Family on beach: I also took a picture of a mother and grandmother and their 2 kids playing on the beach.

Father and daughter flying kite: This is a picture I took of a man and his daughter flying a Hello Kitty kite.

Sand bump: This is a picture of a pile of wet sand that later got washed away by the ocean.

Ocean: This is a picture of the ocean.

Rock circle: This is a picture of a circle I made from rocks I picked up from the beach.

Depo Bay pics:

Giant anchor: This is a picture of an old anchor that was probably from a battleship or something.

Sweet shop sign: This is a picture of the sign for Ainslee's homemade sweet shop.

Salt water taffy: This is a picture of the salt water taffy they have in the sweet shop.

Tradewinds charter fishing: I also took a picture of the Tradewinds charter fishing building and the flags on top.

Newport pics:

Bridge: This is a picture of a bridge that my grandpa took in Newport.

Dock: This is a picture of a dock that my grandpa also took.

Boat: My grandpa also took a picture of a boat on the ocean in Newport.

Water: My grandpa also took a picture of the ocean.

Maybe someday, somebody else in my family will be the one driving my grandma and I to Lincoln City. In fact, since I haven't been to Lincoln City in 4 years, I'm not even sure that D Sands Motel is still there.
